Out of Hibernation!!

Posted: February 2, 2011 in Uncategorized
Hey everyone!  It’s been a great winter, full of family time and memories to last a lifetime!  First, CONGRATS ZACH AND KRISTA!!  Our frontman, Zach, recently got married to the love of his life, Krista, on January 8, 2011.

It was a beautiful day, and all of us guys got a chance to stand up as Zach’s groomsmen, what an honor!

So, here’s what’s new with HNH!  We’re working on finishing a brand new single, “Awaken My City”, and are hoping to have it released and available for download via our website within the next month or two.  Aside from the single, we’re continuing writing for our next album!  We’re also beginning to work on a collaborative project as well that is going to change the nation!!  But that’s all we can say about it at this point.  Check back on our website and blogs for more details as the Spring season approaches.

Be sure to check out our website, www.hisnamehigh.com for upcoming events, band news, merchandise, resources, and blogs!  ‘Like’ us on Facebook to keep up with the latest developments in our ministry, and follow us on Twitter @HNHworship!  Spread the word about our ministry and what we’re all about – awakening the Sleeping Giant (the young people in our churches today) to empower the Church to BE the Church!
We appreciate all the prayers and encouragement from you guys!
Grace and Peace,
HNH

Charlie Hall in Concert!

Posted: September 8, 2010 in Uncategorized

Who’s coming to see us play with Charlie Hall this Saturday, Sept. 11 at 7pm?!?! You don’t want to miss this amazing event, held at Journey Community Church in Olmsted Falls. The church is located at 6941 Columbia Road, and if you don’t have a ticket, you have to go to Journeycleveland.com to download your tickets there!! Seriously, Jesus is attending, and if he had a Facebook, he would have RSVP’d. Will you be there?????

We’re getting ready for the second half of September coming up with some great events planned. We’re playing Sunday morning, 9/12 at Journey Community Church, located at the same place as the venue for Charlie Hall, and that Wednesday night, 9/15, we will be playing at Bay Presbyterian Church’s youth gathering. After that, we have a Saturday afternoon event at Bethel Temple Assembly of God in Parma on 9/18, from 3-4pm. It’s a back to school kickoff event that all are welcome to attend! Think summer concert series on a smaller scale and that’s what to expect! It’s going to be a great event, so come on out and support us there! For all you followers in the Cincinnati area, we will be playing Saturday night and Sunday morning, 9/25-9/26 with our good friends down in Harrison Assembly of God in Harrison!!! Saturday night, come expecting a high-energy, music and testimony-filled service where we’re going to let God do His thing while we do ours! Sunday morning, we’ve got the entire service to minister to the church and its visitors, so you won’t want to miss this weekend if you’re in the Cincinnati and surrounding areas!

We’ve been working hard on new music, and working on a new digital facelift for our ministry! Stay tuned for a brand new, fresh website that will feature dynamic blogs/vlogs, a new online store with new apparel and resources, and other amazing tools. Keep checking our home page for more information on our new site! For more details about where we’re playing and when, check out our Tour Dates on our website at www.hisnamehigh.com. Of course, you can keep up with our updates on Facebook, follow us @HNHWorship on Twitter, and… Jeremy enjoys McDoubles, so the next time you visit us at an HNH event, make sure to pick up a McDouble for Jeremy, and he’ll be most appreciative! :)

Thanks to all of you who keep up with us! We love you guys, and need your prayers to continue moving forward! Be blessed today!

What’s it all about?

Posted: July 4, 2010 in Uncategorized

Hey all!
Matt here with you all today, hope you have had a great 4th of July weekend and are blowing up lots of things (safely, of course). I went to a 4th of July party today and couldn’t help but think how crazy it is how much food we eat, people we talk to, things we light on fire, sparklers we run around with without once thinking about what the 4th of July is all about. Freedom! The 4th of July isn’t just another day, it’s our Independence day. It’s amazing how quickly we forget what we are celebrating!

I’ve been having to ask myself a constant question, “What’s it all about?”  We go through each day going to work, eating our food, going to church, hanging out with friends, doing our “good deeds,” etc. It’s all the same. What’s really the point though? Are people getting saved? Are you being fulfilled eternally or just for a moment? Are people encountering the love of Christ? Are the hungry being fed? The captive being set free? If not, what’s the point?

My heart seems to break easier the closer I get to God. I find myself in tears thinking about the broken people in the world with nothing or the ones who think they have everything. The fact that we  (Gods workmanship, children, heirs, ambassadors, light to the world) see it, hear it, talk about it, but never do anything about it. It’s a challenge for me personally to remember how anointed and called I am in the eyes of God and how much power he has given me to do his will and help the lost. He’s given that power to all of us!

All us guys in the band have to constantly remind ourselves why we’re doing what we are. It’s so easy to get distracted and lose sight of the true meaning in life. It’s not about a band or a performance, it’s not about playing a 8 song set and walking off the stage. It’s about the presense of God being revealed to people who may never experience it! It’s not about selling CD’s or making our name famous, it’s about changing lives with the tools God has given us!

I encourage you this 4th of July to really think about what it is you’re celebrating, pray for your friends who are fighting overseas or maybe have once before. Honor the people who have risked their lives for you. Most importantly, remember who it is that has given us the ultimate freedom and that we are created to live in remembrance and tell everyone that we come in contact with. It’s not about the “American dream.” It’s about Jesus Christ and seeing HIS name lifted high across the earth! God bless and have a great weekend. Love you guys!
